John Burlacu

John Burlacu is an experienced senior director with a long history in the legal services industry. He has been with Angeion Group Bankruptcy Services, formerly Donlin Recano, for more than 10 years and has experience in customer service, integrated marketing, and strategic planning.

With this knowledge, along with practical operational experience in Schedules and SOFA preparation and claims management, Burlacu is positioned to handle complex solicitation and distribution issues. Using Angeion’s technology in the distribution area, Burlacu leads a function critical to the Chapter 11 process. He has been at the forefront of creating electronic solutions to address challenges created by the pandemic, including managing electronic solicitation and voting.

Burlacu has worked on some of the largest Chapter 11 cases, including Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., US Airways, Inc., CJ Energy, Cengage Learning, Inc., Armstrong Energy, Inc., Jack Cooper Holdings Corp., and Logan’s Roadhouse.

Burlacu holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College.
