ANGEION GROUP STATEMENT ON CHRISTOPHER CHIMICLES

Angeion Group is pained to announce the passing of our President and CEO, Chris Chimicles, who died unexpectedly on November 15, 2020. Chris was the heart and soul of our company and we will deeply miss his inspiring leadership, thoughtful personality, and compassionate nature. He was universally admired and respected by each and every member of our team, and by clients, colleagues and friends alike.

A brilliant businessman and bold entrepreneur, Chris founded Angeion Group in 2013. Over the seven years that followed, he built a unique and growing company embodied in his own image – hard-working, fearless, and driven in the pursuit of success. Today, his vision and persona proudly ripple through every aspect of our company.

As a CEO, Chris was a natural leader who operated with an infectious zeal and passion that motivated everyone around him. He was also a person that others loved being around. Highly visible and deeply engaged in our industry, Chris developed close and enduring relationships with countless colleagues and clients. To so many, Chris was much more than a business partner – he was, above all, a friend and proud father to his beautiful daughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Chimicles, who was the apple of his eye.

Chris also strove to make the community in which he lived a better place. A proud Philadelphian, Chris was actively involved in many civic causes and endeavors aimed at improving the public good. Most recently, he played a leading role behind the formation of USA250, a group of public and private sector leaders planning the nation’s 250th anniversary. He subsequently was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf as Commissioner for America 250 PA, the Pennsylvania Commission for the Semiquincentennial.

Chris’ kind and generous spirit will forever bring a smile to those who knew him. His memory inspires us to continue to do the great work that he would be proud of.
